Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has been able to make major international inroads into the Latin pop mainstream. Una Lady Como Tu (his 2016 hit) won an Colombian Kids Choice Award, 2017. Favorite Song. The year 2017 saw the release of ADN, his first long-player with La Industria Inc. in Medellin. In the Top Latin Albums chart ranked it at number 8. Vaina Loca the album that was the Top Five smash hit in 2010, featured him alongside Ozuna. He was a part of the team with Noriel on Mala Influencia in the year 2020. He the following year came out with his second album, the charting Dopamina. He also appeared in a duet with TINI to perform her stream track Maldita Foto. The smash hit La Bachata from 2000 was made available in 2023. Turizo is a musician born into a musical family. His mother and brother also played the guitar. In his interviews, he's described the music he plays as a compulsory activity. He learned how to play the saxophone, guitar, ukulele, and piano as an infant. His initial goal was to become a veterinarian his brother Julian advised him to go for lessons in singing with the help of a Cuban teacher. The end result personally discovering his talent as a performer changed the direction of his life.
