Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew growing up in Mexico with a family that loved music. As a child, she was inspired by Boleros, classical music and the more traditional romantic, ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is passionate about the operas and tangos as well as any dramatic performance. Ana started learning how to play the piano and sing at an early age with her mother. The formal training in singing at the age of 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She furthered her training in music at the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. The beginning of her professional career was spent performing with various orchestras, chamber ensembles, and opera choirs and chamber groups in Guadalajara. After 2000, she emigrated into in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007, she returned to her home in southern California. She currently performs traditional Latin American songs at private events as a soloist. She is passionate about singing, music as well as the arts keeps her engaged in local projects for both an artist as well as a educator. Ana has also been a former participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for having the chance to share her passion and love for traditional Latin American songs with others as she hopes to inspire a passion, especially among younger generations, to help keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
